The Kenya Red Cross Marigat Sub-branch is championing for support to the less fortunate community members during this festive season, through contribution of clothes and foodstuff.
The
ongoing move follows their visit to a nearby village famously known as
Kivumbini and Kampi Turkana, where they identified that most of the families in
those areas live in abject poverty.

“We
are mobilizing resources from churches and other well wishers, so far we have
visited AIC church, Deliverance church and P.A.G to ensure full participation.
We urge citizens of good will to contribute foodstuffs and clothing to help those
who are in need.” Said Irene Yemit, Kenya Red Cross Volunteer.
She
further said that, the churches have shown support and they are planning to
distribute the items on 22nd December 2013.
“Let
us be our brothers’ keepers, know the state in which people are living socially
and economically and Look for urgent and available solutions to their
problems.” Said Beverlyne Yegon, Volunteer Red Cross, Marigat Sub-branch.
Red
Cross volunteers are also disseminating information on HIV and AIDs through
